Phillip Browne | Managing Partner
Phillip is the heart and soul of the CABEL team. Possessing a passion for business and its operations, an entrepreneurial eye, diverse industry awareness and extensive experience in complex tax cases, Phil has a wealth of financial wisdom to share with his clients and his team.
Phil manages a balanced life, with a strong community presence, offering his time for homeless food services, Bush School Learn to Swim and other charity sporting events.
Phil has a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma in Taxation Law from Charles Sturt University and a Company Director Diploma from New England University. Phil is accredited as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) Tax Agent, Registered Company Auditor, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia (FTIA), Justice of the Peace and a member of The Executive Connection (TEC37).
John Hensley | Partner
John leads CABEL Business Services. He has been in practice since 1999 and has extensive experience in advising a wide range of businesses in all areas of tax and accounting. John is a focus session leader, teacher and marker for the CA Program conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia.
John derives much satisfaction from and is strongly committed to assisting clients achieve their goals. He is a strong believer in work hard, play hard. When John is away from the office he likes to spend time with his family, play a game of golf or tennis, practise yoga and learn the finer skills of ballroom dancing.
John has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University, a Diploma of Commerce from the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology and is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. John was awarded the Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia in 2004.
Michael Haynes | Business Services Manager
Mike is a highly qualified asset to the firm who leads the CABEL Business Services team and holds a Graduate Certificate in Forensic (Accounting) Studies, a Graduate Diploma of Accounting, a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and an Associate Diploma of Accounting. Mike brings a long list of management, business and accounting skills from his work experience in professional practice firms, most recently, Crowe Horwath.
Dennis Vaccher | Audit Manager
Dennis gained his Audit experience with medium and large Chartered Accounting firms as Audit Partner and most recently as an Audit Team Leader with the Audit Office of NSW. Dennis has 15 years full time experience managing financial systems audits and reviews, and initiating and managing client relationships to achieve mutual goals. Dennis has a personable and considered approach to all clients with whom he works, and provides insights to clients regarding technical issues, audit strategies and beneficial methodologies. He has worked on the audits of many large Australian not for profit entities. Dennis has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Australian Institute of Management and CPA Australia.
Anna Donaghy | Business Manager
Anna gained her experience in administration, international recruitment and marketing at Macquarie University. Since 2006, Anna has managed the internal procedures, marketing communications and human resources at CABEL Partners, keeping the firm competitive in its industry and performing at its best.
Anna has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting from Macquarie University.
Kaylene Hubbard | Senior Tax Consultant
Kaylene is a highly experienced Law Graduate and Solicitor with a special interest in taxation law. Kaylene worked previously as a Partner at Deloitte and now provides high level taxation advice for CABEL clients.
Kaylene has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce from the University of NSW. Kaylene is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, A Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia.
